Recognize your self-worth

Do you know anyone who thinks they are perfect, and who actually is? Probably not. Your imperfections are what make you unique. The better you are able to accept yourself with all of your flaws, the more comfortable you will feel in your own skin. Are you aware of your own resources? This will help you to better understand and accept your weaknesses. Throughout your life, you spend more time with yourself than with anyone else. Be considerate and compassionate to yourself. After all, you are able to do this for others.

What’s your situation?

  • How do you pick yourself up again after a setback?
  • What are you happy with about yourself?
  • What makes you happy in your relationships?
  • What makes you happy in your professional life?
  • What did you do today that you can be proud of?
  • What mistakes did you make today that you can laugh about?

A few ideas:

  • When you feel under pressure, give yourself an imaginary pat on the back or smile encouragingly at yourself in the mirror. This will help put you in a positive frame of mind.
  • Focus on your vital rhythms (nutrition, movement, breathing, sleep).
  • Write down your thoughts: what's doing me good at the moment? What isn't? What can I do about it?
  • Forgive yourself and apologize to others if you often respond irritably.
  • Comfort yourself and those around you if things are not going smoothly.
  • Set daily goals that you are able to achieve.
