Learn something new

Learning is discovery. Learning something new is a voyage of discovery that takes you out of the humdrum. It opens up new horizons and strengthens your sense of self-worth. But the decision to learn something new also shows that you are ready for further development. That could be helpful to you both personally and professionally. We learn not just with our brains, but with all our senses.

What's your situation?

  • What would you like to be able to do? What's stopping you from learning how to do it?
  • What are your talents and skills? Which of them would you like to use?
  • What learning activities were very helpful to you in your past life?
  • Have you any skills that you'd be happy to pass on to somebody else?

A few suggestions:

  • Learning doesn't always mean sitting in a classroom. Find out what knowledge you can get from videos on the internet. “Learning festivals” are outstanding opportunities to try out new things. You're sure to discover entirely new talents!
  • Find inspiration in course programmes: your school, the Migros Club school, the adult education centre, Pro Senectute and other providers are full of ideas.
